Professional athletes make their living playing with big, round, hard objects. Then they go home and play with big, round, hard objects-their wives' implant-enhanced breasts. While the powers that be have put a kibosh on injections for their hubbies, many players' wives see nothing wrong with nipping in for a shot of Botox. (You might too, if your man spent every Sunday facing a row of Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.) Read on to discover the major-league plastic surgery these WAGS (wives and girlfriends) have undergone.
In an interview with FHM, this outspoken queen of the baseball wives claims she's had 34DDs since she was 14. Still, Anna Benson's breasts are looking mighty perky if you ask us. AwfulPlasticSurgery.us agrees: "We think this former stripper needs to lay off the teeth whitening and breast lifting." Hey, if you're going to threaten to sleep with the entire Mets organization (the team that husband Kris Benson played for before being traded to Baltimore), you've got to look your breast, er, best.
Victoria Beckham denied getting implants in the past, but, OK! Magazine has reported, the former Posh Spice may have let the truth slip out when she joked, "I really thought that one of my silicones was going to fly out of my armpit then" while throwing out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. That may just be the tip of the iceberg. Us Weekly has kindly put together a list of the procedures-including implants-that experts feel Beckham's had: we're talking cheek sculpting, collagen lip injections, a forehead lift, and "nasal refinement surgery." No wonder hubby David Beckham signed with the L.A. Galaxy-he'll need the money to pay for all that upkeep!
When sports fans aren't gossiping online about fiery Joumana Kidd's beyond nasty divorce with basketball star Jason Kidd, they're exchanging snide remarks about her melon-shaped breasts. "Those horrible implants she has gives ME enough of a reason to punch her in the throat," went one LiveJournal fan posting. Whether Jason hit her or she hit him is for the courts to decide, and while her implants are really, really bad, we certainly don't condone violence, fellas.
Oops! When Liverpool soccer player Steven Gerrard's best man joked at his wedding to busty blonde Alex Curran that Steven's greatest accomplishment was "when you got Alex's jugs done," Now reports that the bride's grandmother was flummoxed (she must not read the papers). According to PrivateHealth.co.uk, "uber-WAG" Alex Curran and co-WAG Coleen McLoughlin (fiancée of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney) frequent England's The MediSpa Clinic, which offers cosmetic surgery procedures.
Who cares about illegal gambling? All we want to know is how much work Wayne Gretzky's wife, Janet Jones, has had. The former actress/dancer/aerobics instructor/Playboy model has that sort of glazed Botox appearance, a fact that hasn't gone unnoticed by sports blogs. Writes TheStar.blogs.com, "It's another example of plastic surgery gone too far." That chest is also suspiciously impressive considering the woman's given birth to five kids.
When Johnny Damon signed on with the New York Yankees, "The Poop" asked, "Is New York big enough for two fake-breasted, pushy ex-stripper, ballplayers' wives?" (The other wife in question was Anna Benson, whose husband was playing for the Mets at the time.) Michelle Damon may be quick to deny those stripper allegations, telling Boston Magazine, "If it were true, I wouldn't care. I'd say it," but there's no hiding that massive chest.
Whether Vanessa Bryant's large breasts are real or another "I'm-sorry" gift from scoundrel hubby Kobe is hard to say. But GoodPlasticSurgery.com is happy to point the finger at Vanessa Bryant's changed nose, claiming that the Lakers lady got a nose job soon after she and Kobe Bryant got married. The nose is very nicely defined and has a slightly slimmer bridge. Now if she can just get Kobe to shape up.
Model and serial soccer player dater (she's bedded Teddy Sheringham and Marcus Bent), Danielle Lloyd gained notoriety for making racist remarks during the UK's "Celebrity Big Brother." She's also gotten a fair share attention for her ample surgery-enhanced breasts. Now Magazine reports that earlier this year doctors performing Danielle Lloyd's third augmentation (going up to a 34FF) found a mysterious lump, forcing her to have one implant removed. According to the UK football blog Kickette, Danielle's given up athletes after Marcus cheated on her. "Boys will be boys and footballers are the worst boys of all," she's said. "I guess now it's definitely no more footballers for me."
Finally-a sports wife who admits to getting implants! Of course, considering Carmella DeCesare's distinction as Playmate of the Year in 2004, it's not exactly shocking that she's not 100% natural. According to Wikipedia.com, the new wife of Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia appeared on "The Girls Next Door" in 2005 and complained that "her implants looked fake because they were new and had not fully settled."
Here's a story that should hit WAGS right where it hurts. When Denise Hendry, the wife of former Scottish soccer captain Colin Hendry, went in for a liposuction procedure, the mother of four was simply hoping to get back in bikini shape. Instead, Denise Hendry wound up fighting for her life when the surgeon punctured her bowel and colon. Hendry suffered blood poisoning, multiple organ failure, and cardiac arrest, and fell into a five-week coma. She has since sued her surgeon and won, and now speaks out against cosmetic procedures.
Denise Hendry told The Scotsman, "I never look at women's magazines any more. I don't want to feel under pressure to look good, as so many women do. For a long time after it happened, I was riddled with guilt. I felt I'd done all this out of vanity and put my family through all that worry. But, at the time, I felt I wanted to do something just for me after raising the kids and looking after Colin and the house. I just wanted a quick fix after having four babies. Now I'm left with horrendous scars."
