So just who exactly is this 36-year-old woman threatening to overthrow “The Living Doll’s” current record of 47 cosmetic surgeries—and, more importantly, what has she had done? Bismarchi is a Brazilian model, Carnival dancer, and “percussion queen,” and takes her role in Brazil’s most famous celebration seriously. Her latest surgery (#42) involves having nylon wires implanted to give them an Asian-like slant, as an homage to her samba group’s theme, which marks the centennial of Japanese immigration to Brazil. Bismarchi, who is married to a plastic surgeon (her second) and has been getting work done since 1992, has also undergone breast lifts, lip injections, work on her chin and calves, and dozens other touch-ups.

"I always was vain," Bismarchi told The Associated Press. "And for carnival, you have to feel especially pretty."

Bismarchi, who will perform wearing next to nothing at next week’s Carnival, reportedly supplements her plastic surgery with a daily workout regimen, dance lessons, and frequent sunbathing.
