Sorry, virgins. A new study shows that postponing sex may mean going from popping your cherry to popping the little blue pill.
Fox News is reporting that researchers at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute's HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies have determined that individuals who save their first time for their 20s (specifically, between the ages of 21 and 23) have a greater risk of experiencing sexual dysfunction later in life. In other words, no sex could lead to bad sex.
But those of us who got frisky under the high school bleachers may not want to gloat just yet. While the study found that men who put off sex until their 20s had an increased risk of having sexual problems (i.e., an inability to reach orgasm or be aroused) men who became sexually active at a young age were also likely to experience sexual dysfunction.
Play it safe, kids...do it at prom!
