FDA Approves New Cosmetic Tissue Augmentation Product

Medical News Today announces FDA approval of Anika Therapeutics' Cosmetic Tissue Augmentation product, "an injectable soft tissue filler for facial wrinkles, scar remediation and lip augmentation."

The product is "based on hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring, biocompatible polymer found throughout the body." Expected launch date is mid-2007.
