If your jeans are pushing things out to the public's eye that would be better left in hiding, chances are you have not made wise blue jean buying decisions. Daniel Feuer, owner of Ujeans, says, "One of the simplest thing people can do to improve their image is making sure that they have clothing that fits properly. Off the rack clothing is meant to fit an average body type based on the "fit" model the clothing was created."

Daniel designed a line of custom made-to-measure jeans based on the customer's own body measurements. Available now at Avita Style in Los Angeles, Lyla Sweet in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and from the company's own website, Ujeans are not only custom made but they are also an environmentally friendly brand, using, among other things, a coloring process free from harsh bleach and formaldehyde. Seun Lim of James Jeans agrees with Daniel about finding the perfect fit, saying, "A good fit isn't just about comfort and ease; it is also about tightening where it should and lifting where it should to create a sexy fit." Seun created her line because she felt that very few brands really understood a woman's body shape or even knew what it was that women wanted in their blue jeans. An added benefit: The company's Dry Aged Denim works not only for your body type but also for the environment, as the jeans are created using organic cotton and, after being treated with natural products such as green tea leaves, are then dried beneath the sun for a few days to create the aged look that most jeans accomplish through the use of harsh chemicals.

If you spend more on having your hair styled than you do on a pair of jeans you may find the price tag of $150 and up on these higher-end denims a bit steep; but if you want your jeans to fit well, you just may have to pay a higher price. Says Jason Trotzuk, owner and designer of Fidelity Denim, "I know it sounds weird, but the right construction of denim will allow it to stretch, breathe and move, where the lower end denim . . . the lycra is not very strong and it will fit on you as it does."

Made of high quality denim, Fidelity jeans have been spotted on a variety of celebrities, including Jennifer Aniston, Lindsay Lohan and Rachel Ray. What makes them stand out? First, explain Trotzuk, the key to finding a good jean is finding one made of top quality denim. "You can take a cheap denim and an expensive denim and build the same garment, but the expensive denim will not bag out, (will) be snug in the right places and loose in the other places, and will wrap nicely around your waist without giving you muffin top." Fidelity offers an added bonus for customers with a sagging bottom: butt lifting technology, also dubbed the 'bum bra.' What could be better than a pair of jeans that not only eliminates excess baggage around the waist but that gives your hind end a boost as well?

While these three jean designers take into account a woman's body during the design aspect, additional tips should be considered when choosing the correct style for your body type. If you have a curvier look, Jason suggests sticking with a flare, which will balance your body better than a straight leg jean. Those with skinny legs are able to wear most styles, while women with long torsos should avoid high waisted jeans, which create the illusion of cutting the torso in half.

The key, adds Jason, is to know your body type and to stick with what works, regardless of the latest trend. If you don't feel comfortable in your clothes then you aren't going to exude confidence; and confidence is what really makes a woman sexy.

Plastic surgery can alter your appearance, and some people prefer to take this route for larger breasts or smaller hips because they just don't want to hassle with shapers and gel inserts and thickly padded bras or panties.

Others, though, may find comfort in the fact that new and relatively inexpensive creations exist in today's market to help shape, lift, pull together, hide, and slim. And for some women these accessories and clothes are a much better option than undergoing a procedure that requires lost time and can include potential scarring or complications.

Besides, Trotzuk reminds us, "Society forgets that you can dress well to hide your flaws."
