The guilty pleasure that is Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County" has already brought us Botox injections, bling that make Diddy gasp, and catfights galore. So surely breast implants couldn't be far behind. Sure enough, last week's episode featured new "Housewife" Tamra Barney having her 34D implants resized to a smaller C cup and getting a breast lift to prevent sagging.
Tamra claims she underwent the procedure because her large breasts were attracting unwanted attention, as well as causing her neck and back pain.
"My decision to have breast implants in my early 20s was probably NOT one of my better decisions in life," she says in her blog. "The prior doctor talked me into implants that were way too large for my frame - the implants were wider than my rib cage - which made it very hard to find clothes and bathing suits to fit right."

Tamra, who often talks about her goal to look young and hot as she turns 40, has already been filmed getting Botox injections to maintain a wrinkle-free appearance, but it's her latest procedure that has set the OC buzzing. After the surgery episode aired, plastic surgeons have been weighing in on the prevalence of breast implant removals and replacements.
"Roughly 25 percent of our breast implant patients are exchanging old breast implants for new ones," Donald Altman, chief of plastic surgery at Irvine Regional Hospital and Medical Center, told the OC Register. "It is my clinical experience that about 50 percent of silicone gel breast implants are ruptured after 15 years."
Though some implants have been known to last as long as 20 years, having a game plan for what to do when they do "expire" is something women considering breast implants should take into account.
