In 1990, this pretty Michigan high-schooler was the picture of blond perfection. Today, she's the most famous burlesque performer in the world, famed for her tiny waist, raven locks, and scintillating stripteases. So just how did blonde Heather Sweet become Dita von Teese, burlesque queen and ex-wife of Marilyn Manson?

According to The Daily Mail, the beauty icon says she began her transformation from Heather to Dita right after her 18th birthday. "As soon as I was of legal age I wanted to take my clothes off and be photographed recreating old pin-ups," she says.

Dita sent revealing photos to Penthouse, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Though the metamorphosis is shocking, the similarity of the features makes us doubt that Dita's gone under the knife. As for those near-black tresses, Dita's admitted to being a DIY girl. "I'm actually a natural blonde, but I love having black hair, which I achieve courtesy of Revlon's 10-Minute Dye," she confessed to Contact Music. "The only hair color I'd never have is brown. That would be so wrong."
