Has Catherine Zeta Jones discovered the secret to eternal beauty and youth...or is she joining hubby Michael Douglas on his trips to the plastic surgeon?
Catherine Zeta JonesCelebrity Plastic Surgery AdelineandHazel.com points out that the Welsh beauty "has defied the odds and has gotten more beautiful as she's gotten older." That's certainly true. The big Texas-sized hair is gone, the nose seems slimmer (cough), and the skin is tighter and more radiant.
Last year The Daily Mail also noted her dramatic de-aging transformation, saying, "The 36-year-old actress looked remarkably fresh-faced - especially compared with her appearance at a similar red carpet event some seven years ago."
So...what's her secret? While some credit the Beluga caviar skincare treatments Catherine reportedly swears by, it's been rumored that she had an eye lift a few years ago. Those claims have been denied, as have rumors that Michael Douglas underwent a facelift after he was seen with bandages below his ears.
So what do the experts think?
"First off, Catherine looks as if she has had Botox to remove the crow's feet," plastic surgeon Dr. Lucy Glancey told The Daily Mail. "She also looks to have had a socalled tear trough procedure, which is basically a filler that is injected into the bone. It is a specialized procedure costing up to £600 [about $1,200] and is used to correct the hollow area around the eyes, something Botox cannot do. The actual texture of Catherine's skin has probably also been improved through a form of volumizing augmentation. I don't think she has had any surgical procedures, however, because an eye lift would change the shape of her eyes and that is not the case here."
If Catherine keeps looking younger, Michael may have to go in for a real facelift to keep up.
